Frequencies is the incident channel plan — the list people actually program — and the bridge into ZoneMap so phones in the field can load that lineup from a code instead of a photo of a whiteboard.
Think of I-217 as the authorized inventory and ICS-205 as what you are willing to publish. Keep the wider list on I-217, then promote what the incident is using into an I-205 zone. You can run more than one zone. Each zone has a name, its own channel table, Import, and Add channel. Removing a zone deletes its channels; keep at least one. Channel forms are sectioned. Narrow is assumed when a source does not say. Frequencies clean up to a consistent shape; tones keep the numbers and drop the leftover tone codes.
Import is per zone, from a spreadsheet, a PDF, a JSON dump, or a photo of a 205. You get a preview checklist, then Append or Replace that zone only. Prefer Append while you are checking the parse. Scanned pages need the site’s document reading to be working; if a scan comes back empty, use a digital PDF or a spreadsheet, or ask your system admin. Export is the official FEMA / NWCG ICS-205 landscape form, or a CSV of the whole plan.
ZoneMap
Publish when the lineup is ready. That creates (or updates) a temporary ZoneMap agency from every zone and channel. The access code and QR appear after a successful publish. Update keeps the same code and replaces the lineup. New access code rotates it — old phones stop after they re-check. Remove deletes the remote agency and clears the local card. Status is Not published, Published, or Not configured. Not configured means the site cannot reach ZoneMap; ask your system admin. The rest of Frequencies still works.
Viewers can see a published code and QR. Publishing, rotating, and removing need owner or editor-style rights. The card points at the iPhone App Store; ZoneMap is iPhone-only for now.
